PROJECTS

Personalizing art is a great way to convey your emotions, memories, presents, and other things. It discusses thoughts, feelings, interests, and individual experiences. Anything that is created or done to order is considered personalized, customized, distinct, and set apart from ready made goods. Such piece expresses more about a person than just what the person looking at it finds visually appealing.
Shoppers are eager to view pieces that reflect aspects of themselves. They enjoy having their tales and travels told via art that speaks to them and is solely theirs. They are increasingly requesting personalized pieces or artworks to be placed in unusual locations, such as on furnishings and other home goods, to create a statement. Through our projects, we at Shopism interact closely with you to understand your needs and propose the ideal solution for your aesthetic requirements.

Custom Saddle-Billed Stork Sculpture

The bird sculpture was inspired by the saddle-billed stork, a large wading bird native to Africa. Known for its striking appearance, the species holds personal significance for our clients due to their early connection to the continent. The sculpture was custom-made to reflect that connection and serve as a meaningful feature within the space. Crafted primarily from stainless steel and finished with industrial-grade paints, each part was carefully handmade using a variety of techniques. The final piece is designed to enhance the aesthetics of both indoor and outdoor environments.

Reviving the Legacy: Restoring Century-Old African Masks

Antique restoration demands meticulous attention to detail and a high level of craftsmanship. Following a thorough assessment of these nearly century-old African masks, we carefully reshaped them and removed outdated surface treatments to align with our client’s vision. In the final stages, the masks were mounted on custom-designed stands to ensure their preservation. With this restoration, our client can look forward to many more years of appreciating these culturally significant artifacts.

Pop Art Meets Personal Identity: A Custom Outdoor Name Sign

This bespoke name sign was custom-designed and handcrafted for a client who sought something deeply personal and unlike anything available elsewhere. Made entirely of iron and built for outdoor display, the piece is both durable and expressive.
Drawing inspiration from the bold aesthetics of the Pop Art movement, the design balances vibrant color, playful typography, and graphic appeal. Our process began with in-depth discussions to understand the client’s vision. What followed was a creative collaboration that turned a personal concept into a tangible, lasting piece of art.
Beyond its visual impact, the sign carries emotional value. By working closely with us throughout the process, the client was able to bring a meaningful idea to life, making the final creation not just decorative but deeply reflective of her own story.

Memory in Motion

This Lambretta scooter painting was one of the first projects we created after opening our studio—a meaningful commission from a client with a deep emotional connection to the vehicle. More than a simple reproduction, this piece brings a cherished memory to life through bold color, form, and movement. A symbol of mid-century freedom and youthful spirit, the Lambretta is reimagined in vibrant, professional-grade acrylics. Inspired by the Pop Art movement, the painting uses strong contrasts, rich hues, and stylized contours to elevate an everyday object into a timeless icon. The process began with a soft, abstract background, an echo of fading memories onto which the scooter was built layer by layer. The sharp lines and vivid tones stand out against the dreamy backdrop, capturing how certain moments stay crystal clear in our minds.
The result is a vibrant, nostalgic tribute where personal memory meets pop culture, and art becomes a bridge between past and present.

Impressionist Seascape

This custom oil painting was commissioned by a client with fond memories of the sea. This piece is an expressive, layered seascape created in the Impressionist style using professional-grade oil paints. Achieving depth and fullness was a key challenge in this work. The painting was built up through multiple layers, each one carefully planned and applied to capture the movement of waves, light, and sky. The palette was tested extensively to strike the right balance between bold, warm tones and cooler, reflective hues, evoking both the power and serenity of the ocean
From early color swatches and underpainting to the final impasto strokes, this project is a reflection of patience, process, and personal storytelling through art.

A Quiet Presence

This one-element composition is a bespoke painting created for a client deeply inspired by the aesthetics and emotional resonance of traditional Chinese landscape art. Rooted in minimalism, the piece focuses on a single tree, rendered through a blend of intricate brush techniques that honor classical styles while embracing a modern sensibility. Our goal was to capture the serenity and quiet strength found in traditional Chinese ink landscapes, translating them into a warm, earthy palette that complements contemporary spaces. Every stroke was crafted with care to echo the rhythm of nature, inviting stillness and reflection.
The final work is a harmonious fusion of technique and emotion, a meditative presence within the client's living space.

A Home Remembered: The Old Villa Portrait

This painting is not merely a visual representation; it is a deeply personal tribute to a cherished home. Commissioned by a client after moving into a new residence, the artwork captures the essence of their old villa, preserving years of memories, stories, and emotions in a single frame. To do justice to its character, we visited the villa multiple times, studying its architecture, textures, and the surrounding landscape. The painting evolved through many layers, with careful attention to detail from the ivy-clad walls and arched windows to the play of natural light on its surfaces.
Every stroke was made with the intention to bring life to the villa on canvas, not just as it stood, but as it was remembered. For the client, this piece is far more than art; it’s a lasting connection to the place they once called home.
